Eader Elementary School has a strong history of parental involvement and we welcome you to join us in building on that foundation. The combination of a strong parent group and committed teachers creates a PTA organization that is sure to make this an exceptional year for our children.
The PTA’s goals for the 2009-2010 school year are to outreach to new volunteers, build knowledge about what PTA does and run successful programs and events.
We have definitely seen many new faces come forward to help this year. This is incredibly important to the success of our school and I would like to encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to do so. We may all have different availability but our goal is the same and that is to provide an outstanding learning environment for our children.
As far as what the PTA does is twofold. At a local, state and national level the PTA works to constantly improve the education of children and protect children’s rights. Here at Eader our primary objective as a PTA is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources and services…many of which are no longer covered by our school budgets. We are also here to provide community building events that as parents we want to see our children attend. This encourages a sense of belonging and pride in our school.
I sincerely look forward to a successful year together. There will be countless joys and I am sure a few challenges, but I commit to you all of my efforts to make this the best year possible.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any question, comments, or suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Kelly Solorzano
